The emphasis of this retreat is deep rest and revitalisation, enabling you to gain a clearer experience and understanding of TM.
The Retreat is open to anyone who has learnt TM. It is recommended that you have been practising TM for at least a few months before you come on one of our weekend retreats. It would also be beneficial if you have attended some of our Monthly Group Meditations which will keep your experience and understanding of the practice on track.
Going on a Retreat is your next big step forward in your meditation practice and are very popular with those who want to speed up their progress. During the weekend you will experience very deep rest, enhancing all the benefits of TM and leaving at the end of the retreat feeling re-vitalised and refreshed.
According to Maharishi a Weekend Retreat gives the equivalent benefit of three months practice of TM!
Our Retreats are held at An Tobar, near Navan, County Meath, which is has a lovely quiet atmosphere, beautiful grounds and provides delicious vegetarian food!
There is also a beautiful Labyrinth which is a meditation in itself……
Arrive Friday afternoon for meditation before dinner and leave at tea-time on Sunday. Enjoy extended meditation (in the group or separate if you prefer) with optional yoga postures and Pranayama, plus discussions, readings and leisurely walks.
The Retreat is organised with a structured programme which you can follow if you wish. This includes a “quiet morning” on Saturday, when we talk as little as possible outside the meetings, adds a whole new dimension to our experience! Meet lots of new meditating friends and gain the results of 3 months’ meditation in just one weekend!
Many have found refresher courses extremely valuable to gain deeper meditation and deeper understanding, especially after a lapse of practice and others often use the weekend to re-establish a meditation routine.
